I deliberately picked the most normal players from the start, so this shouldn’t have happened because I made sure to pick those who wouldn’t get affected by my unique habit. I had a normal personality as well, so there should have been no reason for these people to stick close to me.

Unfortunately, the two were relentless. They just wouldn’t get away from me.

They kept on talking to me to the point that I was starting to get annoyed with them. In addition, they were doing their best to impress me. I was sure of it. I was a guy, after all.

I was sure that they were willing to give me everything, and they were definitely willing to kiss my feet as well. They weren’t really my type, but their actions made it clear that Lee Ki-Yeon was a more charming woman than I initially thought.

Their actions made the four females in the expedition party even angrier at me. I could feel it because their glares had become more intense than before. I really wanted to push these guys away, but I couldn’t do that.

They were crossing the line between mere kindness to a party member, but they didn’t really do anything else, so I was sure that they didn’t have the guts to make a move on me. Still, they were pretty annoying.

‘Finally, we arrived…’

It had been a bit difficult for me to endure the desperation of the guys and the women’s scornful look, but we managed to arrive at our destination without any major conflict.

‘I should massage myself with a potion later. Shit… my legs are hurting.’

It wasn’t like I achieved something great, but I felt like I had been challenging my limits with that hike.

Aside from the tutorial dungeon, I couldn’t remember walking this much anywhere. I didn’t realize it earlier because I was desperate to arrive here, but I finally realized that I had been living a comfortable and privileged life so far.

I could have never imagined that I would be able to hike for this long, so when we arrived at our destination, I was in a pretty good mood.

‘They did better than I thought.’

Lee Ji-Hye said that they weren’t able to do much because of the lack of time, but the dungeon actually looked high-quality. They paved a road, and a few places looked like they were proper shopping districts.

Of course, some areas were still under construction.

The size of the construction site could be compared to a large city when combined, but I knew that all that space wouldn’t be enough if we were to consider the possibility of every human on the continent gathering here.

‘It’ll be a lot better after about a week…’

That was my first impression of Rift Land…

“We’re here.”

“There’s a lot more people than I thought, haha.”

“I’m sure we can. I heard that they can accept a lot of people at once, so let’s go ahead and get registered for a queue first. We’ll probably be able to enter by tomorrow at the latest.”

It took me too long to find a party, so it took me a long time to come here. However, I didn’t really think that it was all that bad because this meant that the party members could rest properly after that long hike.

I needed to look around as well because I had to know exactly what was going on.

“Let’s find a place to stay for the night. We can’t just wander around like this,” Lee Chul-Woo suggested.

We all nodded in agreement. We started moving again. While we were walking, I saw many adventurers with various jobs. I saw quite a few high-ranked adventurers as well, so I was sure that they had been here for a long time now. There were many people from different ethnicities. I also saw African-Americans and Caucasians, and the sight of them made me think that they definitely came here riding a griffon.

We walked mindlessly for quite a while until the party stopped in front of a large bar that also provided lodging. We entered as if we were possessed, and people greeted us from all directions.

“Welcome to the Rift Inn! Adventurers! Is this! Your first time visiting our inn?”

‘The service is great.’

“It is our first time. We just arrived. Do you have any available rooms for us?” Lee Chul-Woo asked.

“Of course we do, Adventurers! We currently have about twenty rooms left on each floor, and we have four types of rooms divided into different ranks—Normal, Rare, Epic, and Legendary…”

“For more details, please peruse the catalog…”

“Normal-ranked rooms are priced at one gold per night, rare-ranked rooms are at five gold per night, epic-ranked rooms are at twenty gold per night, and legendary-ranked rooms are priced at fifty gold per night…

“Prices are per head, and room service isn’t included for the cheaper rooms,” explained the receptionist.

‘Wow…’

The prices were basically a hundred dollars, five hundred dollars, two thousand dollars, and five thousand dollars per night. Even worse, the sky-high prices didn’t include room service.

‘Ji-Hye, what kind of prices are these? Damn… are you serious? You should’ve decided on a reasonable price.’

I lampooned Lee Ji-Hye in my head, but there was a smile on my face.

Those prices were basically just my pocket money, but for the growing adventurers, I was sure that it was a lot of money.

As expected, the expressions of the Friendship Clan members turned dark. I could tell that they were thinking that they would end up spending money, even though they came here to earn money.

The Clan Master fell into deep contemplation while the Sub Clan Master was perusing the catalog.

“Clan Master, don’t you think it’s expensive?” asked a member.

“We don’t have any other choice…” Lee Chul-Woo replied.

Naturally, I glanced at the catalog as well.

I looked at the legendary-ranked room and nodded.

‘Wow, I think that’s better than my room.’

The room was no different from a room in the Imperial Palace. The services available to those who would avail of a legendary-ranked room were more than great. They would have a dedicated priest on standby around the clock, and the priest could cast fatigue recovery spells.

My potions were offered complimentary, and the quality of food available to the whales was better than the quality of food one would find in a fancy restaurant.

There were also various facilities for extended-stay customers, including a separate training room for those staying in legendary-ranked rooms.

The services were so great that I wouldn’t mind living here for the rest of my life.

The epic-ranked rooms didn’t look bad either, and it reminded me of my old room.

It still looked luxurious. The services available to guests of epic-ranked rooms weren’t as good as the services available to guests of legendary-ranked rooms, but the services were good enough.

The rare-ranked rooms were a different story because they reminded me of a single room. It had everything a person would need, but I didn’t think that I would be able to sleep comfortably in a room like that.

“We should get the normal-ranked rooms, right?” asked a member.

“Yes. Excuse me… the normal-ranked rooms…” Lee Chul-Woo requested.

“No way. H-How can you sleep in a room like that? Ugh,” I mumbled unknowingly.

The others immediately looked at me and glared. The female members stared at me with contempt. I knew I had made a mistake, but I didn’t really regret my comment.

‘Stop looking at me. I said it unknowingly, okay? And to be honest, you guys don’t like it, either. Shit… even the bathroom is shared. A bathroom like that is definitely going to be really dirty.’

Honesty wasn’t a sin. I wasn’t sure if they disliked my comment, but my sudden comment silenced everyone.

The large-framed man broke the ice and said, “I think one day should be fine. I mean, we have a lot of money with us, am I right, Chul-Woo?”

“We don’t really have a lot of money since we had to get new equipment. We have been saving up to buy a clan house as well, so we shouldn’t really spend this money on luxuries…” Lee Chul-Woo commented.

“I don’t think it’s a bad idea to spend a night in comfort,” Kim Tae-Geon commented.

“But…”

“We’ll be entering the dungeon tomorrow, so I think it’s important to get some good rest. Even I think that a normal-ranked room will ruin our condition. You’re the one who said that we need to make sure that we’re always at peak condition before an expedition…” Kim Tae-Geon explained, ”We shouldn’t be afraid to use money when it’s necessary. They finally decided to book rare-ranked rooms. I wasn’t fully satisfied, but I was happy.

“We’ll take rare-ranked rooms.”

“Great choice, Adventurers! We currently have a promotion for people staying in rare-ranked rooms. To help you with your dungeon conquest, we’re giving you a rare-ranked health potion manufactured by the Blue Guild,” the receptionist explained.

“I-I see. Thank you,” said Lee Chul-Woo.

However, the members of the Friendship Clan were delighted by the freebie.

The receptionist seemed like they were showing off their generosity by giving a trashy low-quality potion while charging five hundred dollars for an overnight stay. It was a typical tactic of business people to make people feel better about their expenditures.

The receptionist probably didn’t know that I was having these thoughts because they were getting ready to extort these adventurers with a friendly face. This was going to be important since the only thing they cared about was growth.

“You guys are adventurers who are going to attempt the museum, right?”

“That’s right,” Lee Chul-Woo answered.

“Have you gone through the procedure?” asked the receptionist.

“We just arrived, so we haven’t registered yet. If we need to submit an application, we’ll make sure we submit it before going to our rooms,” he said.

“No, adventurers! You do not have to do that because the Rift Inn can help you with that. Can you tell me the rank of the dungeon you’re going to attempt to clear?” they asked.

‘They’re adventurer-friendly. I like it.’

“Epic,” Lee Chul-Woo answered.

“It’ll be a total of five hundred gold for epic-ranked dungeons. However, we have an ongoing promotion, so you will only have to pay three hundred gold!” they explained.
