Cale said that they would leave the Jiangshi here for now. Their original plan was for Raon to move the Jiangshi to another place via teleportation. Raon and CH disagreed with Cale, saying that they should not leave the Jiangshi here, but Cale insisted to leave it here for now. He kicked the unconscious Number Seven and explained that judging from this man’s reaction, it was highly likely that there were other places with Jiangshi hidden.
He put back his mask and said that they need not rush things. Raon’s eyes sparkled when he realized Cale had a plan. Cale said that they should first remove all traces of entry into the catacombs. Number Seven had simply disabled the traps, so it could be reactivated. Cale said that he had used his Record ability to remember the location and disabling process of the traps.
CH asked what they should do about the door, and Cale answered to leave it. CH thought for a moment and then smiled softly. He said that it would be scary for the enemies then. That there was someone who knew all the traps and could disappear without a trace, yet had purposely broken the door and left everything else untouched.
Cale nodded at CH’s words. Raon erased all the magic light spheres he created, and the room turned dark again. Raon kept glancing at the dark room, but unhesitatingly left when he heard Cale said that they would see the corpses again soon.

Olivia was conversing with the emperor in a study that was in the opposite direction of the bedroom. She was anxious as there had been no signal. Their plan was that once the Purifier was done, he would visit her dressed as a priest and interrupt her meeting with the emperor, using her health as an excuse. But it was taking too long, and she was growing nervous.
It was too quiet. She thought that if the Purifier’s group had been caught, the palace should have been in turmoil now. So she continued her conversation with the emperor. She talked about how she found the bodies of the two princes. She showed concern for the emperor’s health, and reassured the emperor to not worry about her injuries.
She tried to talk about other things to buy time. But she eventually reached her limit. She had never talked with the emperor this long. The emperor had cherished and favored the 1st and 4th Imperial Princes, but only cared enough to not neglect his other children. Then, the emperor had a gentle smile like that of a father to his children.
He told her to get to the main point now and stopped smiling. Olivia mentally cursed and thought on what she had to do. The past week when she discovered the ugly truth had greatly shaken her. So she thought that she should not be afraid. She formally addressed the emperor, but the emperor still called her name affectionately.
She boldly asked if the emperor was suspicious of her. The emperor asked why he would doubt her. She replied that her actions in District 9 might look suspicious to others. The emperor replied that he did not doubt his child, saying that he knew how much she got hurt from that test. Olivia burst out laughing, and the emperor was surprised, realizing that she could laugh like that.
Olivia said that the emperor had never thought of her as a child. She had realized that early on her childhood. She smiled and looked straight at the emperor, declaring that she would become the next emperor. She had wanted to be the emperor from the beginning and that was why she participated in this test. But she now had a change of heart.
She said that she would do anything to become emperor, and she had come here to tell the emperor of her intention. She thought that she would do anything to achieve that, including destroying everything and starting anew. The emperor smiled, and Olivia knew that he misunderstood her words. He said that he now understood why she was the one who ‘found’ the corpses of the two princes.
After all, she had said that she would do anything to become the emperor. In short, the emperor misunderstood that she had killed the two princes and covered it up. The emperor smiled and Olivia was relieved at his misunderstanding. She told the emperor to watch her closely. Though the result might be different from what the emperor and the Huayans wanted.
Olivia was convinced that the emperor was no longer suspicious of her visit. She came back to worrying about the Purifier again. Her visit to the emperor would be useless if the Purifier did not succeed with his task. The emperor asked her about the second test, and she replied that she would be in the top 3. He said that he would look forward to it, and she answered that she would live up to his expectations.
But she was interrupted when an explosion was heard and lightly shook the place. She stood up and acted concerned for the emperor, asking if he was okay. Her heart pounded, thinking that the Purifier must have caused this because if anything happened to the palace, it must be the Purifier’s fault.
Another explosion sounded, and knights entered the room. The emperor asked what happened, and the knight commander reported that the bedroom was engulfed in explosions. The emperor stood up in surprise and asked the knight commander to guide him. The knight commander protested, saying that the emperor must evacuate.
But the emperor insisted on going to the bedroom, even if he had to go there himself. He left the study, and Olivia headed out too. A third explosion was heard, and Olivia could see from the window the knights and black mages chasing someone. She saw a man in black running on the rooftop with very agile movements.
Olivia recognized the man as the Sword Master from the Purifier’s group. She then heard a young dragon’s voice in her head, saying that they were done with their task, so they should go back now. The young dragon reassured her to not worry about CH as he would teleport CH away afterwards. With the imperial palace being attacked after the Huayans mansion incident, the capital was thrown into chaos again.
That night, Sui and CH reported to Cale that they had seen some people from the palace and the Huayans moving out of the capital. Cale asked if someone followed them, and Sui replied that some church paladins were chasing after those people. Cale spread out a map of the capital and its neighboring vicinity, and said that those people could not have gone far from the capital.
At that moment, the video communication device rang, and Raon connected the call. It was Eruhaben who reported that he had seen some members of the Huayans enter the collapsed part of the imperial palace. Cale asked Eruhaben to observe them without being detected. He knew that their enemies would feel a sense of crisis with this incident.
When their enemies had realized that an intruder had come in, they would eventually think of moving the Jiangshi to another location. Cale said that they should not miss that moment. They would gather all the information they can when the Jiangshi was moved. Sui asked if they would attack once they had gathered information.
Cale replied that they would blow up everything in one go to drive their enemies crazy. And thus, the group began to collect information. A few days passed and it was finally the time for the second test to end. Cale asked Olivia if she was ready, and she nodded back.
