He had no idea that the Palace would bring this many troops here at a place where many of its citizens were gathered. But he thought this was nothing special. He glanced at Heni whom he thought would still follow the Purifier’s plan.
The knight commander of the Capital Defense Forces approached Zero and told him to not resist. Zero asked why, and the knight commander replied that he would receive a painless death if he did not resist. Zero scoffed at him and said that was nonsense. He took out his bone sword and as they were about to clash, the captives in the wagons stood up and broke their restraints.
The crowd crouched down in fear, but a wind blew. They raised their heads and saw a holy white light that fell like snowflakes. They realized that the Huayans patriarch had made his move. They were relieved, but there were some who grew anxious. The white light quickly turned into sharp arrows, filling the sky above the bone dragon.
They realized that if the arrows fell, many people in the crowd would be seriously injured. At that moment, Olivia slowly walked towards the stage. She told the Chief of Staff to announce the test scores. People were drawn to her soft but resolute voice. The Chief of Staff said that he was in the middle of grading the test.
The emperor was surprised to see Olivia staring at him and smiling. She said that he should start with her score. The Chief of Staff hid his surprise, but could not hide his displeasure. After all, Olivia did not caught anyone. But his eyes widened when he realized that there was one person by her side.
