Trash of the Count's Family - TCF Part 2 - Chapter 56

The rose gold lightning fell from the sky and struck the white arrows. It silently destroyed the white arrows, spreading like a spider web as it devoured all the arrows. The emperor jumped up from his seat as he saw the sight. The white arrows turned into white ash, falling down the sky like white snow. One member of the Agents of Destruction shed tears as the white ash fell on him.
The black mages screamed in astonishment and trembled in disbelief. They were shocked that the dead mana had been purified. Even the dark elves among the troops were astounded at what was happening. Someone screamed that the white ash was harmless to the body. They all stared at the white haired man who emanated a strange and unknown pressure.
The bishops tied to the bone dragon descended to the ground. They followed the pope’s actions and clasped their hands too. They and the pope got down on their knees and bowed, exclaiming, “We greet the Purifier!” The crowd recalled the Purifier being mentioned a while ago, and were confused with the situation.
Zero and the members of the Agents of Destruction also bowed deeply and exclaimed, “We greet the Purifier!” One of the candidates recognized two people from the Agents of Destruction. It was Sanders and Noi. They were among the ‘captives’ Zero had brought. The members of the Agents of Destruction had removed the black sacks on the two princes’ heads, revealing their faces.
Sanders looked up the sky and saw the falling white ashes. He realized that the Purifier was strong enough to easily wipe out Redok’s white magic. He had seen a similar scene in the white sand desert. Thus, Sanders knelt down and bowed deeply, saying, “We greet the Purifier.” Noi bowed his head to show respect, but not as much as Sanders.
Noi glanced at Olivia and then to the emperor. He then said with a sad smile, “Esteemed Purifier, please purify this land!” The crowd turned to the emperor who was in disbelief. The emperor stared at Cale as he muttered that the dead mana was turned into ashes. His heart raced at the thought that if dead mana could be purified, he might be able to live.
He had so much dead mana in his body that he was dying soon. He realized that the District 9 incident and the raids in the capital were masterminded by that white haired priest. The emperor called Redok as ‘Master’ and asked, “Why?” He knew that Redok had gone to District 9 and must have known about this Purification ability.
However, Redok had only told him that the black tree had been destroyed and nothing else. So he wanted to ask why Redok did not tell him about this. He shifted his gaze towards his daughter. Olivia’s eyes seemed to say that it was him who made the wrong decision. The emperor was so shocked that a sudden pain sprang up from his heart.
It was a familiar pain to him who was dying soon. The astonished Chief of Staff hurriedly approached and supported him. The emperor kept looking at the back of Redok and called out to him again. But Redok just laughed and looked up the sky. Redok then said, “Disciple, this won’t do.” The emperor was puzzled at his words.
Redok said that the preparations were over, but there was a change of plans. He said to the emperor to be a sacrifice. Suddenly, the emperor was stabbed by a dagger with a high concentration of dead mana. The emperor was shocked to see that it was the Chief of Staff who stabbed him. That Chief of Staff was actually his own mother, a child of a maid, who had been with him since his childhood.
The emperor groaned in pain, and the Chief of Staff shifted her dagger towards his heart. She whispered to him that his last role was to be a sacrifice and destroy this world for them hunters. The emperor tried to get away, but couldn’t. All of a sudden, she heard a young voice asking her, “Chief of Staff, are you a hunter too?”
She turned her head and saw a pair of dark blue eyes staring at her. The eyes had vertical slits as pupils. The blue eyes smiled and said that he would be taking the emperor. She tried to recall where she had seen those eyes, and recalled the dead dragon corpses. She was confused why there was a dragon here. But she suddenly choked and the strength in her body left her.
She realized that she had been poisoned. White fog could be seen near her feet along the white ashes. Redok tried to use his white magic to head to the Chief of Staff and the emperor, but could not move because he felt an immense power behind him. The Chief of Staff realized that she had been paralyzed by poison.
She and Redok both saw the Purifier who had rose gold lightning rising from him that looked violent yet beautiful. She eventually fell to the floor and tried to reach out to the emperor. But it was already too late. A boy with a black mask and dressed in black from top to bottom had appeared. Black wings sprouted from the back of the boy, Sui, and he carried the emperor into the air.
The Purifier asked Redok where he was looking. Cale walked forward and said that he had been trying to solve everything peacefully and in a good way if possible. He briefly laughed and ordered Choi Han, the pope, Mary, and his group to capture all the hunters. Cale used his Wind AP and immediately arrived in front of Redok. There was something he really wanted to say to Redok.
He then asked, “You hunters, why did you destroy my hyung-nim’s house?” He continued it in his thoughts, ‘Why did you destroy the palaces of Roan? Huh? And why did you touch the king too?’
Cale spoke out loud, “Why do you keep messing with my neighborhood, huh?”
A lightning bolt left Cale’s hand and struck Redok. Cale smiled and added, “That is why I came here.”
An explosion then resounded throughout the plaza.
