Trash of the Count's Family - TCF Part 2 - Chapter 58

A member of the Agents of Destruction urged the crowd to run away. But there were some who kept looking back as they wanted to see the fight between Cale and Redok. One person exclaimed that the Huayans patriarch was being pushed back because the white light kept getting consumed by the rose gold light.
Redok recalled the information he got about Cale Henituse. He initially thought that his power was enough to defeat Cale based on that information. But he was losing. Cale smirked and asked if he was wondering why he kept getting pushed back. And Cale answered for him, that he was weak. Redok grew angry and created white arrows again.
He was confident in the white magic that his family had created. However, Cale simply waved his hand, and the rose gold surrounding him collided with the arrows, making all the arrows vanish. And then, it attacked and pushed back Redok who tried to put up a shield, but that shield still broke. Redok realized that the rose gold power was stronger than his.
He recalled the experiment subject in the Nameless 1 world, who was known as White Star. Their experiment there had failed, and the hunters tried to figure out the cause. They found out that Cale Henituse was the decisive factor that rendered WS useless. They also became aware of Cale’s fighting power. That was why Redok had assumed that Cale could not defeat him.
So he did not care about Cale. For the hunters, the power of Cale was at a level that they could handle, so they ignored him. They did not want to waste their time on a trivial being whom they could trample at any time. Thus, he was shocked that the fire ancient power was this powerful. Redok wondered if the information the hunters gathered was wrong.
He knew that they could not give false information, so he came to one conclusion. Redok looked at Cale and said that he had been hiding his power. Cale was puzzled for a moment as he knew that he was not hiding it. Even the cheapskate agreed, saying that Cale was even flaunting it since he did not faint here. Cale was curious why Redok was scared and vigilant of him.
Redok said that Cale should not be able to wield this much power, and Cale agreed in his mind. Even he felt it strange that his Fire AP was highly efficient in this world. Super Rock interjected that shadows get longer when the light gets stronger. That was why his Fire AP was more powerful against dead mana in this world.
Super Rock added that the world was always trying to achieve balance, and that made balance scary. However, the cheapskate just laughed it off, saying that it was a good thing so they should have more fun. Cale simply shook his head at their words, causing Redok to misunderstand his actions. Redok laughed and said that Cale’s Fire AP was not his main power.
It was a power he did not use often. But if the power of fire was that powerful, it meant that the other ancient powers were also powerful. Cale was surprised at Redok’s misunderstanding, but did not bother to correct it. Redok exclaimed that this was fun. Other hunters might not care about Cale’s existence, and those who do thought like Redok too.
Cale asked if he was done talking and flew with his Wind AP. He said that he knew that Redok was trying to buy time. Redok urgently cast a spell as he got the chills. However, a young voice (Raon) shouted that he was faster as a black magic circle appeared beneath his feet, and out came black tree vines like the one in District 9.
It entangled the feet of Redok as it began to burn. Redok quickly conjured white swords to cut off the vines, but that vanished into thin air. As Cale drew closer to him, all his white light disappeared. It all turned into white ashes and scattered in the wind. Redok cursed as he attempted to escape. All the sacrifices and ritual preparations he had planned were complete, so he just had to run now.
But he realized he had made a big mistake. He had known about the enemy’s information, and grew confident that he could subdue his enemy. But that information was completely wrong. Cale’s fire was so destructive that it rendered him helpless. And he also had other ancient powers that were equally strong. That meant Cale was a great threat to him, his family, and to the hunters as a whole.
The tree vines continued to entangle him. He tried to use teleport magic as a last resort, but that was useless. Eventually, Cale reached him and gripped his neck. Cale smiled as Redok’s shirt that touched the rose gold lightning turned into ashes. Redok’s upper body was revealed. It was stained black like the emperor. The only difference was that his eyes were clear.
Cale said he must have been trying to unleash an explosion or something as a last resort. He coldly looked down at Redok and kindly spoke that he would purify Redok. The cheapskate reminded Cale that dead mana which had seeped in and became a part of a person or living being could no longer be purified.
Cale added that he would teach Redok about a power he was unaware of. About the hidden secret of his Fire AP. Redok blinked and asked if it was really possible to purify a person infected with dead mana. Cale grinned and declared that he would show it to Redok. But what would happen to Redok afterwards if he lost his dead mana?
Seeing Cale smile, Redok realized that Cale was seriously trying to purify him. He knew that a hunter who lost all their power would become an ordinary human. It was a sight he did not want to recall, and something he would rather die than for it to happen to him. He considered Cale as a madman and was scared.
The cheapskate once again spoke that even the corpses of black mages or necromancers could not be purified. That was why he had tried to burn the continent in the past. Super Rock calmed him down, explaining that Cale was only trying to threaten Redok. Raon telepathically told Cale that he felt reassured when he saw that smile of Cale.
Cale listened to the voices of Raon and the ancient powers and moved his hand. That other hand that was not choking Redok had a rose gold electric current. The moment he moved that hand, the rose gold lightning headed towards the blackened upper body of Redok.
