Trash of the Count's Family - TCF Part 2 - Chapter 61

The black monster trembled when it saw the pillar of light gradually descending towards it. It suddenly screamed when the bone dragon freed itself and flew to the sky. Mary calmly muttered that her bone dragon would be purified if it got struck, so she led it away from the pillar of light. The black hill tried to dig the ground in order to escape, but the pillar of light reached the monster.
There were no sounds of explosion at the moment of the clash. The black hill screamed and twisted its entire body, creating tremors in the ground that even reached beyond the capital. Black smoke rose from the eyes, and sharp thorns sprouted from the body as if it was a hedgehog. But all of it was useless against the Fire of Purification.
The members of the Agents of Destruction lowered their arms. The pope lost the strength in her legs and sat down. White snow-like ashes scattered in the air as they saw everything. The monster screamed as it gradually turned into white ashes. If it weren’t for its screams, no one would have thought that this was the scene of a fight.
Zero shook his head and said that this was not a fight. It was more like a scene wherein a god from the skies destroyed the evil being on the ground. He could not even laugh like that time in the Black Tree purification. The white ashes looked beautiful to him, and so did the people in the capital think. The white ashes piled up on the destroyed places.
A member asked Zero if the Purifier was human. Zero gazed at the Purifier who still had rose gold lightning around his body. He did not feel any pressure from that thin man, so he replied that he did not know. It did not matter if that person was human or not. What mattered was that the end of this terrible darkness was destruction.
There would be no darkness in the new world to come. That alone was important to Zero. He was curious what the Purifier was thinking about though. But suddenly, the Purifier slightly staggered, surprising Zero. The monster had already stopped moving as its eyes no longer emitted smoke, and its thorns had turned into white ashes. It had even stopped screaming.
But Raon did not care about the black hill or the white ashes. He hurriedly supported Cale who had momentarily staggered. Cale gasped when Raon’s hard head hit him on the side. The kittens ran to the roof and towards Cale. They exclaimed that he must not collapse. However, all of them were confused when they saw that Cale still had a good complexion.
Cale said that he was fine, and Raon asked why he stumbled a while ago then. Cale frankly replied that it was not a big deal. He had felt a little dizzy back then, so he stumbled, but it was not that bad enough for him to faint or cough blood. Rather, he was surprised that his condition was still very good. He had dealt with the monster so easily.
He looked at the surroundings and thought that it would be a little hard to clean up the ashes. Of course, he was not the one who would do that, but still felt a headache thinking about it. Raon said that the white ash was as pretty as snow, while Hong wanted to make a snowman. Raon received a message from his video communication device.
Raon reported that Shawn and Jezna had secured the other two places where the Jiangshi were kept. They had gone there together with some church members and Agents of Destruction people under Cale’s instructions. On said that Sui asked him to pass his words to Cale. Sui said that he was going to catch the hunters, so Cale shouldn’t worry.
Raon exclaimed that he got a call from Eruhaben. He, Appe, and CH had gone to catch the remaining hunters who had not dedicated their karma to create the black hill. Cale thought that there must be hunters who escaped. But he did not care as he brushed his hair. He was still in disguise, and no one knew his real identity except for Redok.
Someone might recognize Mary and CH from their abilities, but Cale thought that the two could just disguise themselves next time, or not take them when he go to another world. For now, he had some work to do. On the way here, he had received a call from Marquis Helson who informed him that monsters similar to the black tree were attacking the east, south, and north districts of the capital that were near contaminated lands.
Raon prepared to teleport Cale, and Cale instructed Mary to handle the post-processing here. Cale left with Raon and the kittens. Mary descended from the bone dragon, and the pope, Zero, and Olivia approached her. Olivia had a smile when she saw the place Mary had landed. It was where the black hill was a while ago. The monster had disappeared without a trace, and only the white ashes on the ground remained.
The pope asked where the Purifier went, and Mary replied that he left to purify monsters that appeared in the other parts of the empire. The pope was surprised to hear about other monsters, and closed her eyes as she prayed. Zero asked if the Purifier was okay since he saw the stumble earlier. The pope and Olivia were astounded at those words since they had not seen it.
Mary thought for a moment. Cale’s complexion had been good. She had purposely climbed up the bone dragon to view Cale’s complexion. Because she was worried and had to inform CH or Eruhaben about Cale’s condition. But Cale was much better than she thought. However, her answer to the three was different.
She replied that she did not know as he always used his own power like this and made sacrifices. In the past, he used it to the point he collapsed. She added that he did not show his condition much, and his companions would only know after everything was over. She continued that they had to do what they can now that the monster was gone.
At that moment, Mary tilted her head to the side when she saw the reactions of the three. Zero suddenly got angry and stomped his feet on the ground, cursing. The pope let go of her clasped hands, muttering about the Purifier and saying that she would devote all her energy to reconstruction.
Olivia turned around with a stiff expression and walked towards the Imperial Palace, leaving behind the words that she learned another thing today. Mary did not say anything else and just rode on the bone dragon again. She had to relay Cale’s words to their group and tell them about his condition.

Cale muttered that he was a bit tired, and Super Rock was relived that the monsters in the east, north, and south were weaker compared to the black tree or the black hill, so they did not use that much power. Cale had returned to the capital after a day. It took him longer than expected. But when he returned, he touched his ear in disbelief, wondering if he had heard it correctly.
He asked again, and the pope repeated that they had decided to erect a statue in the capital’s plaza to commemorate the Purifier’s achievements. Cale was confused on what kind of nonsense she was speaking about. He had only been away for a day, so what had happened at that time. The pope had an I-must-do-it expression, and Cale looked over her shoulder. He saw Eruhaben and Sui smiling, Mary standing still, and CH avoiding his gaze. 2
