• Chi-Controlled Sword – Aka Sword Control Technique. A technique that allows one to freely control their sword using their chi while not even physically touching their sword. Think of it as like telekinesis. Only a master in the higher realms could do this.

The single chopstick was floating in the air as if someone was supporting it. It was aimed straight at Cale. The entire place was silent, and Raon secretly asked Cale why they were so surprised. Cale sighed and told his companions to lower their weapons. CH, Sui, and the Molans followed his words. Toonka, who wanted to fight, expressed his regret as he put down the chair.
Durst laughed, clenching his fists before saying, “Hoho. How dare you throw chopsticks at the young master… You must have no fear.” Cale frowned at his words, but ignored it since there was a more important matter at hand – Murder Demon was viciously staring at him. Her stare was similar to Ron’s, so Cale was really scared. He wanted to quickly head to the guesthouse.
Raon asked if he should put back the chopsticks, saying that Beacrox put back the eating utensils after eating, so he would give it to the inn employee. Cale glanced at the inn employee and panicked. He wanted to stop Raon from doing that, but he could neither use magic nor Chi Hidden Voice. Thus, he could only speak out.
He tried to say something to prevent a bigger misunderstanding, but Raon was faster. A cool and gentle breeze blew, moving the chopstick smoothly as if it was dancing. Cale could only mentally grumble as he felt a headache. The chopstick stopped in front of the confused inn employee who looked at the chopstick and Cale alternately.
Cale held back his sigh and told him to take it. The inn employee carefully took the chopstick with both hands. Cale’s gaze headed to the broken tables and chairs. He also saw the cutlery box on the floor. It seemed like one of the chopsticks there had been thrown to Cale. Cale glanced at Dokgo Chang, Un Seon, Jeong Hye, and Dokgo Ryeong.
Ryeong was embarrassed, and made an excuse that he did not mean to start a fight, but Cale raised his hand to stop him. Cale said that whatever happened was of no concern to him. He could still feel Murder Demon’s stare. He did not want to get involved with the Sword Saint, or the Five Saints and Five Demons. He wanted to run away at that moment.
Cale turned around and took out a gold coin given by the imperial family. He handed it over to CH and ordered to give it to the inn owner as compensation for the broken stuff. Dokgo Chang offered to pay for the compensation instead, but Cale reprimanded him that they should not have caused it in the first place.
Cale thought that he needed to scold the Dokgo Clan members who were short-tempered. He wanted to rescue CJS as quietly as possible. Dokgo Chang was speechless at Cale’s words, and Cale said that they should go. But then, Namgung Yoo Hak shouted that the Namgung Clan would be the one to pay the compensation.
Cale understood that Ryeong lost his cool because of that punk Yoo Hak’s mouth. He stared at Yoo Hak without saying anything. Yoo Hak was confused on who this man that the promising talents and the Dokgo Clan were calling young master and treating respectfully. The young master looked to be the same age as him and was quite small, but was somehow strong.
He was puzzled, but repeated that the Namgung Clan would handle the compensation. Cale found him to be an absurd guy. Yoo Hak was the one who started the fight and broke stuff, yet he was now shamelessly saying that he would handle the compensation. That attitude annoyed Cale, and given what happened earlier with the wanderers, Cale had a rough guess on how the Namgung Clan acted.
So he could not help but laugh while staring at Yoo Hak. He turned away and continued to walk. Cale was mentally panicking since Murder Demon’s gaze was getting fiercer. He wondered if CJS had also attacked the Killing Sect, the sect of Murder Demon. Cale hurriedly walked out. Yoo Hak was angry at being ignored, but Cale’s group did not look back.
CH came out of the kitchen after handing over the gold coin to the dazed chef who was the inn owner. Everyone followed Cale, even the Fist King and Mok Hee. Yoo Hak screamed at how the young master dare ignore the great Namgung Clan. That young master was neither the son of a famous clan nor a promising talent.
Yet that guy had laughed and ignored him, a direct descendant of the Namgung Clan that even the Murim Alliance leader could not carelessly treat. Dokgo Ryeong wanted to protest to Cale that it was not his fault since it was Yoo Hak who started the fight. But seeing Young Master Kim laughing and ignoring Yoo Hak, he gave up.
Cale stopped and asked the Dokgo Clan and the promising talents if they were not coming. Dokgo Chang told Ryeong via Chi Hidden Voice to endure it until they find evidence of what the Namgung Clan did to their family. And finding Noble Warrior CJS was their top priority. Ryeong silently agreed, and held back his laugh at Yoo Hak who was still being ignored by Cale.
Ryeong thought that the cocky Namgung trash could not say anything at the young master’s show of strength with the chopstick. Cale’s entire group finally left the inn’s restaurant, and the door to the backyard closed. Yoo Hak was still furious, but when he saw his cousin, Namgung Tae Wi, coming down, he complained about that foolish Young Master Kim.
Tae Wi stopped him and said that they should talk about it upstairs. Yoo Hak grumbled but shut his mouth when Tae Wi spoke to him via Chi Hidden Voice. He told Yoo Hak that Young Master Kim was imperial royalty. Yoo Hak was in disbelief, and Tae Wi continued that Elder Ho had told him that Kim Hae-il had a golden personal identification plaque.
Yoo Hak knew that the info was reliable since it came from Elder Ho. But he wondered how Kim Hae-il was so strong. The technique Kim used earlier was Chi-Controlled Sword. Yoo Hak thought it was a very noble and pure ability that the Sword Saint could do. He followed his cousin upstairs without saying anything.
But deep inside, he was nervous. Yoo Hak had realized he had insulted royalty. He rationalized that he only spoke back and not physically attacked Young Master Kim. So Kim must have just left him. He was frustrated when he came to the realization that there was an even higher family that the Namgung Clan could not dare to touch.
Peace returned to the inn’s restaurant since Murder Demon had left too. She was at the guesthouse’s roof and was staring at Ron. Murder Demon realized that observing Young Master Kim would be hard, so she withdrew. But she could not forget what Kim had done. She could easily do what he had done with her chi.
However, that Young Master Kim had not used his chi at all. When he returned the chopstick to the inn employee, there was a cool and warm wind. It was through nature itself. She wondered about his true identity as she recalled the reactions of the Namgung Clan and the Beggars’ Sect. She licked her lips at the thought of discovering something interesting.

Cale drank tea in a room where only his original group of 11 were. Raon exclaimed that the dumplings were delicious as he stuffed his mouth with them. He shouted at Toonka to not touch his dumplings, and Toonka protested that he did not touch it. Toonka was also stuffing himself with dumplings. Cale sighed and ignored them.
He had filled his stomach with a light meal, and was now enjoying a short break. He planned to find CJS after Raon finished eating. Durst called out to the esteemed Purifier. He had been silent since they came to the Central Plains. Durst smiled and said that it was no different. Cale was confused on what he meant.
Durst’s smile was gone, and said that it had smelled bad. Cale was further puzzled as he could only smell the delicious food from the inn’s restaurant. But Durst looked serious, and said that there was a handsome young man with that Namgung surname. Cale glanced at Wi who was cooling the dumplings with a fan for Raon.
Pokedex Wi said that the young man was Namgung Tae Wi who came from a branch family of the Namgung Clan. Tae Wi was the leader of the Changcheon Guards. His skill in martial arts were as outstanding as someone from the main family. Cale asked Durst on what was the matter with Tae Wi.
Durst said that he could smell it from Tae Wi. Cale grew anxious, and Durst said that Tae Wi smelled like a corpse. Cale, CH, and Sui were shocked. Cale asked if Tae Wi was a Living Jiangshi. He gazed at Durst and understood why the God of the Fire of Purification had sent his follower to Cale. His eyes flashed as he finally recognized the value of Durst.
